Keto Strawberry Pie – Fresh Low Carb Dessert Recipe

Keto Strawberry Pie is a refreshing low-carb dessert showcasing the natural sweetness of strawberries without all of the added sugar and high-carb crust. The base is usually a combination of almond flour or coconut flour with butter, which results in a light, flaky crust that is both gluten-free and keto-friendly.

The fresh strawberry filling is sweetened with a low-carb sweetener such as allulose, erythritol, or monk fruit. A thickener like gelatin or xanthan gum helps the filling set and gives it a smooth, glossy sheen. Some pre-baked recipes include a version that doesn’t even need baking; the strawberries are painted with a sugar-free glaze and chilled in the pre-baked crust for a terrific light and summery treat.

Easy Keto Strawberry Pie

  • This keto strawberry pie is one of those desserts I made “just to try,” and now I weirdly crave it all the time.
  • The almond flour crust comes out way better than you’d expect—kind of buttery and crumbly in a good way.
  • The filling is basically strawberries, a keto sweetener, and a little thickener, nothing complicated at all.
  • It tastes super fresh, like something you’d bring to a summer picnic, except it doesn’t blow your carb count.
  • I love eating it cold the next day; it almost tastes better after it sets.
  • Easy, sweet, and doesn’t feel like diet food at all.

FAQs

Q1. Is strawberry pie keto-friendly?

A1. Classic ones are not, but this pie with almond flour crust and sweeteners sure is.

Q2. Which sweetener is best for keto strawberry pie?

A2. A few good low-carb options would be erythritol, monk fruit or allulose.

Q3. Can I use frozen strawberries?

A3. Yes, although fresh strawberries have the best flavor and texture.

Q4. How do you make the strawberry filling thicker without cornstarch?

A4. I use low-carb chia seeds, xanthan gum, or gelatin as keto-friendly thickening agents.

Q5. How long will this keto strawberry pie keep for?

A5. It will last locked in a sealed container up to 3–4 days in the fridge.

Q6. Will strawberries break ketosis?

A6. Not unless you go overboard. A few strawberries are usually fine, but if you start eating a whole bowl, the carbs can definitely push you out of ketosis.

Q7. How many carbs are in strawberry pie?

A7. Regular strawberry pie is pretty carb-heavy because of the crust and sugar, but keto versions cut it way down by swapping sweeteners and using almond flour.

Q8. What pies are keto-friendly?

A8. Usually, anything with a low-carb crust—like almond or coconut flour—and a filling that isn’t loaded with sugar. Cheesecake-style pies and berry pies work great.

Q9. Does a strawberry pie need to be refrigerated?

A9. Yeah, for sure. Once it’s cooled, stick it in the fridge or it gets a little mushy and weird after a few hours.
